About Us
Sello is an IT-Company based in Sweden that is operating in the E-commerce sector – We consist of an ambitious group of young guys and girls. Our main goal is to help merchants increase their e-commerce reach and steamline their workflow. Our brainchild is the Sello e-commerce platform that is built for efficient inventory and order management specially focused on marketplaces. The Sello platform acts as a hub for connecting all your sales channels in one place.
Sello was founded in Sweden and it dates back to 2006. The founder of Sello – Christoffer Andersson was a seller on the marketplace Tradera.com. He had great success with his sales on Tradera.com and he started to have a hard time keeping track of what customer bought what product and what delivery address he should ship the product to. Christoffer developed a tool helping him manage his sales on Tradera.com – That tool was the forefather to the Sello platform that we have today. Christoffer started noticing that he was not the only merchant with this dilemma, other sellers on Tradera.com was facing the same problem. He then opened the doors for other merchants to be able to use his tool for managing sales on Tradera.com.
We at Sello work hard every day with keeping our merchants and partners satisfied with our services. We take great pride in the work put in and we always strive to make things better. We work mainly with adding more channels / marketplaces to Sello and create smart tools for helping out with order and inventory management.
The business model we use at Sello is built upon that if our users succeed and grow then we at Sello also see success and grow with the customers. Sello will never charge you if you do not succeed – If you do not get any sales with Sello your account will be totally free of charge that specific month.
We believe in full transparency and we don’t have any commitment time – You can come and go as you please.
In 2011 Sello was registered as a public company in Sweden – We introduced features such as webshop-hosting and marketplace integrations like Fyndiq.se and CDON.com. The number of users grew as more and more wanted to settle down and centralize their channels to maximize control over their inventory and sales – It became a success!
The marketplace Tradera.com noticed that Sello had a very nice platform that was fully integrated for Tradera.com – 2014 Tradera.com and Sello agreed on joining forces and that all merchants on Tradera.com will get Sello for free to be able to manage their Tradera.com account. This was specially good for fast growing or big merchants that had a need for easy order and inventory management. This agreement was a nice boost for both Sello and Tradera.com – At this time we started to add more team members and we grew from a small business into a more substantial one. Now in 2019 we are 10 team members working at Sello and Christoffer that once created Sello 12 years ago is still here and he is still programming.

Our business model is based upon the idea that if our customers succeed we also succeed. That is why we decided that if you did not have any sales in any given month – That month will be totally free. We want you to feel safe. Sello does not have any commitment time, nor do we have any hidden fees. All new accounts get a free trial period of 14 days, which gives you full access to all our features.
RAPID COMMUNICATION
We make sure to keep up with new technologies in the intent of giving you the best user experience. We take pride in our marketplace integrations – These are continuously being updated to add features and to optimize performance. Sales on your channels will appear in Sello within a maximum of 10 minutes and changes to your products are synchronized within 5 minutes.
HIGHLY SCALABLE
Sello is cloud based and is designed to adjust according to the environment workload. This is a key factor for a sustainable system architecture and it creates a very stable and reliable platform to work with. We did not spare any expenses when building Sello – For example during the busiest day of the year (Black Friday) – All systems were automatically scaled up to about 30 times more than an ordinary Friday.
BUILT FOR MARKETPLACES
We created Sello with marketplaces in mind. Since the significance of marketplaces in e-commerce has grown and show no signs of stopping we wanted to build a platform that specialized in managing marketplace channels – Sello was the outcome of this idea. We want our users to be able to manage everything just like you would on any of the marketplaces, directly in Sello – Our platform really delivers in that regard.
UNLIMITED CHANNELS
We let you connect an unlimited amount of marketplace channels and create as many webshops as you’d like. For example, if you have more than one Amazon account you can connect them all to one Sello account. This can be very useful when transferring all products from one marketplace account to another. Or maybe you want to have 5 webshops, all hosted by us at no extra charge.
About the Platform
The Sello platform built for Inventory and order management for different sales channels. What makes us special is that our platform is built to work with lots of different setups and for many different users criteria. Other e-commerce platforms is usually built from a webshop’s perspective where you in addition you connect the webshop to the marketplace. The benefits of building a standalone system like Sello is that the setup is much more modular and we do not have to work around the webshop’s user interface – The Sello platform’s focus lies in marketplaces management – So having a standalone system is a natural approach for us.
The Sello platform is all about inventory and order management for marketplaces. We  have optimized the user interface for a good overview and great tools for managing products and save time when shipping the orders that we import from your sales channels.
Between 2014 and 2018 we have done a major rebuild of the Sello platform and updated all internal functionality and the connections between Sello and the marketplaces. We have a cutting edge platform that is scales with the usage – Our developers use only the newest technologies that are right for the job.
